As the coronavirus pandemic worsens, many people will be forced to choose between a paycheck and missing work to recover from COVID-19 or care for a loved one who is sick or to deal with closings of workplaces, schools, or child care providers. Our state and local governments must step in to provide comprehensive paid leave to protect public health and ensure workers and their families maintain their economic security.
The webinar will provide an overview of the recent federal action on paid leave related to the coronavirus and will explore what some states and localities are already doing with paid sick days and paid family and medical leave laws to respond to the coronavirus.
