When Dina and Sherry founded A Better Balance nearly two decades ago, they recognized that caregiving was woefully undervalued under our nation’s laws and in society as a whole. Under their pioneering leadership, A Better Balance has changed the course of history for workers and their loved ones, securing the passage of the federal Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, enacting paid sick time policies and paid family and medical leave programs in over 30 states, securing relief for millions of workers through strategic litigation, and so much more.
A Better Balance’s mission to build a future where every worker can care for themselves and the people they love is as vital and resonant as ever. Workplace policy, especially for women and caregivers, is central to the national conversation and political agenda. With Dina and Sherry’s legacy and vision, A Better Balance is well-poised for its next chapter as they pass the torch to our new President, Inimai Chettiar.
