Ariel Devine

Chair

Board Chair Ariel Devine earned her BA from the University of Maryland, her 2nd Degree Diploma from the University of Nice, France and her JD, cum laude, from the George Washington University Law School. She practiced corporate and intellectual property law in private practice for 9 years with the firms of Pavia and Harcourt LLC and Philips Nizer LLP.  She then spent 14 years as Counsel for IBM. Since 2019, she has been with Google and is currently a Senior Counsel and Legal Manager for Google Cloud. She served on the NY Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League and served for three years as the Deputy Chair of the ADL’s International Affairs Committee. She chaired and served on several committees at the Jewish Community Center of Manhattan. She has held numerous leadership roles at PS9 and The Center School and currently serves as Vice President of the Parent Association for the Center School. Ariel has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to DEIB advocacy and community volunteer work.  She served as a Big Sister, mentor and volunteer with the Grand Street Settlement organizing programs for under-resourced children and as an Executive Committee member of Dress for Success, Young Executives for Success Division, a philanthropic organization helping women in need re-enter the work force. Ariel has also volunteered for the PS 75 Early Morning Reading Program, Dorot, JCC Harlem and the Downtown Boathouse. In addition, she volunteers for immigration clinics organized by the Legal Services of New York City. Ariel’s passion for women’s issues actually began in utero – her late mother, Deborah Devine, was one of the earliest members and organizers of the National Organization for Women and participated in countless NOW rallies while pregnant with Ariel, including one rally in which she appeared in a newspaper photo the day before Ariel was born.
