Serena joined A Better Balance in March 2020. She is a graduate of New York University, where she completed a double major in Journalism and Social & Cultural Analysis. Throughout college, she worked as an editorial intern for publications such as New York Magazine and The Face, where she has reported for freelance assignments on culture, politics and the arts. Having also had numerous service industry jobs in the city, she is passionate about advocating for workers’ rights and safety. She is originally from Lexington, Kentucky but currently lives in Brooklyn.
