On Wednesday, December 8th, ABB Staff Attorney Kameron Dawson joined Kelly Davis (MPA) from the National Birth Equity Collective and Dr. Adelle Monteblanco for a discussion about the ways the climate crisis is deepening inequities and exacerbating the Black maternal health crisis. Speakers highlighted how the climate crisis is also a racial justice and reproductive health challenge and discussed possible interventions that can be made to alleviate adverse health outcomes for Black birthing people and babies, including legal supports for pregnant workers.
