Supreme Court Rules Against Women of Wal-Mart. On June 21st, ABB's Dina Bakst joined a rally on the steps of city hall in New York City calling the decision in Wal-Mart v. Dukes "a blow to the women of Wal-mart who have spent 10 years fighting for fair pay, [and to] women across the country who are passed over for promotions, tracked into lower-wage positions, and paid less than male employees for doing the same work."  The decision, which rejected the nationwide gender discrimination class action, also underscores the need for fair pay legislation at the federal and state level.
