On November 17th, the Senate failed to muster enough votes on the Paycheck Fairness Act to overcome a filibuster, which means the bill will not receive an up or down vote this year. The law would deter wage discrimination by closing loopholes in the Equal Pay Act and bar retaliation against workers who disclose their wages to coworkers.
